Philosophy of Treatment

I believe most of all in the power of change and the capacity of individuals to grow throughout the lifespan. I have the utmost respect in the inherent worth of clients and believe that my role as therapist is to assist them in achieving their goals while not imposing my value system on them. I also believe that using reflection and offering interpretation of thoughts, feelings and behaviors can be helpful in the process of growth. Therefore I will share observations and impressions with clients while always striving to maintain a collaborative process. Success is when a client leaves the therapeutic relationship with greater insight, personal strength, self regard, and the capacity to effect positive change in their life.
